Active participation in anti-piracy activities
Upon receiving certification from the CDSA (Content Delivery & Storage Association) Anti-Piracy Compliance Program, in May 2007, Microservice became the first company in Brazil to be certified by the entity, which is internationally acknowledged.
Established in North and South America, Europe, South Africa, and Asia, the Program includes the participation of more than 100 media manufacturers, and is endorsed by the main content owners and their associations, some with worldwide reach.
A key element of the Anti-Piracy Compliance Program is the rigid processes and standards used by the manufacturing plants to verify copyrights of intellectual property.
The Program was developed with the collaboration and support of the CDSA Anti-Piracy Coalition, composed of optical media replicators and the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) entities, the Motion Picture Association (MPA), the Business Software Alliance (BSA), the Software Information Industry Association (SIIA), the Digital Software Association (DSA), the International Video Federation (IVF), the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) and the Bureau International des Sociétés Gérant les Droits d´Enregistrement et de Reproduction Mécanique (BIEM).
The Content Delivery & Storage Association, which until July 2007 was called the International Recording Media Association (IRMA), is a global commercial entity that encompasses organizations involved in the entire recorded media production chain, ranging from the suppliers of raw material, manufacturers, replicators, and duplicators, to the copyright holders. The association is the advocate for all recorded media and it is through this association that the industry debates trends and innovations that arise throughout the world.
